Here we will provide information on updates and new items on the web site, we will endeavor to update the site as frequently as possible. Listed below are the updates and new items in chronological order.

UPDATE: 20th February 2009: We have a reunion! The reunion is set for Saturday May 9th 2009.

UPDATE: 18th February 2007: Added a new picture to the picture page.

UPDATE: 21st December 2006: We have a reunion on Saturday 21st April 2007.

UPDATE: 19th July 2006: It is with much sadness we have to tell you that Maryvonne Cannon died on the 7th of May 2006. Maryvonne was one of the original founders of the Sacred Heart Convent Old Girls Association and with her school friend Judith (Edwards) organised many of the first few reunions. She has always been a stuanch member and seldem missed one of meetings. A few years ago Maryvonne suffered quite a debilitating stroke but battled on and still came along to our last big reunion in 2005 and to our "mini" local Christmas dinner. She will be sadly missed. A donation was sent from the Old Girls Association to "Marie Curie" in her memory.

UPDATE: 28th January 2005: We have a reunion on Saturday 23rd April 2005, from 12.30pm to 4.30pm in the Church Hall of Our Lady and St Andrew R.C. Church at Hitchin. The reunion invitation form is now available, click here to download. The file should open in a new window, you can then print or save it. However you could be prompted to do something else please select "Open" or "Open from current location" then you will be able to print a copy or save it to your hard disk. If you have any problems then email us.

SITE UPDATE: 4th September 2003: New site design, it should be a bit easier to find your way around, and it looks nicer too!

SITE UPDATE: 17th April 2003: We have a new message board, please make an account so that you can post messages! Thank You, email us if you have any problems and we'll try to sort it out!

UPDATE: 20th March 2003: Small adjustments to the gallery pages and we have got 1000 hits to the site!

UPDATE: 23rd January 2003: The next reunion will be on the 10th of May this year. More information coming soon! Also tweaked the scroll bars some more.

UPDATE: 10th January 2003: A Happy New Year to everyone! Only a few small tweaks with the site trying to sort out the scroll bars. To ensure you see the site as it is intended to be seen please use a screen resolution of 1024x768.

UPDATE: 27th August 2002: New reunion 2001 photos added to the picture section.

UPDATE: 1st August 2002: A small update, poem section now in the pictures section.

UPDATE: 15th July 2002: Lots of updated pages, including the new newsletter and new pictures that have been added. Hope you enjoy the site and please be patient with the downloading of the photos (pictures) it may take a few minutes.

SITE UPGRADE: 21st May 2002: We have moved the site to a new server and updated the look of it, the message board should also be working. If you find any problems please E-Mail brenda.self@shc-hitchin.co.uk with the error or comment, we must apologise for the delay in getting the site up and running.

NEWS: 31st May 2001: The message board has been taken down until a new place to host it can be found.

NEWS: 19th May 2001: The reunion was today, we had a good turn out. We have new information to put on the web site that we collected from the reunion. We will update the site with this information and photos n the near future. Check back for updates!

SITE UPGRADE: 14th May 2001: Our very own message board is now available for use. Click on the "Message Board" button to go to it.

UPDATE: 13th May 2001: A new poem by Helen Speed.

UPDATE: 29th April 2001: The pictures page has been updated, there are now thumbnail images of each of the pictures for easier browsing. Also 2 more images have been added.

UPDATE: 15th February 2001: New Server! We have moved from the old Enterprise server to the new NTL server. The email address has also changed. Update your bookmarks now!

NEWS: Next Reunion News! The next reunion of the Sacred Heart Convent Old Girls' Association will be on the 19th May 2001.

UPDATE: Pictures page added. Pictures have been added to the pictures page, they are from the last reunion on the 30th June 2000, take a look.

NEWS: 3rd June 2000: The sisters of the Sacred Heart Of Jesus are having a mass of celebration on the Feast Of The Sacred Heart as a way of marking this jubilee year. The Mass will take place on Friday, 30th June 2000 at 8:00pm. There will also be a light buffet in the parish hall after the mass, when the Sisters will be delighted to greet you. If you wish to attend please E-mail the Sacred Heart Convent Old Girls Association at : brenda.self@shc-hitchin.co.uk Kindly reply as soon as possible and no later than June 20th.

NEWS: 27th March 1999: A reunion of the Old Girls of the Sacred Heart Convent, Hitchin will be held on Saturday 15th of May 1999. A buffet luncheon will be served and no charge will be made as we have had a Building Society windfall! We have contacted a number of people on a very old list so we can only hope that they are still living at the same address. We do hope many of you will be able to come along and that you may know of some other former Sacred Heart pupils whom you can tell about the event and encourage them to come too. We are also thinking of those of you abroad who may also like to make some contact with former pupils. Although we are unsure of who will be attending we thought it may be useful to have an e-mail address. This would allow some of you to send a message, and or an old photograph with your e-mail to be printed and entered in a file. The file could then be with us at the reunion to let us know your news and possible get you in contact with an old friend.
